Shoot a level
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003378
To determine the fluid level in a wellbore by generating an acoustic pulse at the surface and measuring the time it takes for the echo to return from the fluid interface. This method uses a gas gun or similar device to create the sound wave. The measured time is then used to calculate the distance to the fluid level, providing data for reservoir management.
