Liquid level
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004373
The depth from the surface to the interface between gas and liquid in the annulus or tubing of a wellbore. This measurement indicates the hydrostatic pressure exerted by the fluid column and is used to assess bottomhole pressure in producing wells. It is typically measured using an acoustic device or a pressure gauge.
