Datum level

A reference depth or elevation used as a common base for pressure measurements in a well or reservoir. All pressures recorded at different depths are converted to this single reference point to allow for consistent comparison and analysis. This standardization accounts for the hydrostatic pressure differences caused by varying fluid columns.
