Depth map
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001013
A contour map that illustrates the subsurface topography of a specific geological horizon, showing its true vertical depth below a reference datum. These maps are generated from seismic data after depth conversion and are used to identify structural traps for hydrocarbons. Depths are typically expressed in meters or feet relative to sea level.
