Contour interval

The vertical distance or difference in value between successive contour lines on a map. A smaller contour interval indicates a more detailed representation of the topography or geological surface. For structural maps, common intervals might be 10, 50, or 100 feet or meters, depending on the scale and complexity of the structure.
