Isopach

A contour line on a map connecting points of equal measured thickness of a stratigraphic unit. This thickness is typically measured perpendicular to the top and bottom surfaces of the unit, without correction for dip. Isopach maps are used to visualize the geometry and distribution of sedimentary layers.
