Interval time
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002021
The two-way travel time for a seismic wave to traverse a specific geological layer or interval. It is derived from seismic reflection data and represents the time difference between reflections from the top and bottom of the layer. Interval time is used in conjunction with interval velocity to determine layer thickness.
