Top log interval

The uppermost depth at which data acquisition begins for a specific wireline logging run in a well. This depth is recorded in the log header and marks the start of the measured section for that particular tool suite. The top log interval serves as a primary reference for depth correlation between different logging runs and with other well data like drilling reports and core samples.
