Sample interval
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003236
The time duration between successive measurements of a continuous seismic signal during analog-to-digital conversion. It determines the highest frequency that can be accurately represented in the digital data, known as the Nyquist frequency. Common sample intervals in seismic acquisition are 1, 2, or 4 milliseconds, influencing the resolution of the recorded seismic data.
