Antialias filter

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000141

A low-pass filter applied to analog signals before digital conversion to prevent aliasing, which is the misrepresentation of high-frequency components as lower frequencies. This filter removes frequencies above the Nyquist frequency, which is half the sampling rate. Its application is standard practice in seismic data acquisition to maintain data integrity.
