Band pass
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000268
A type of filter that allows frequencies within a specified range to pass through while attenuating frequencies outside that range. In seismic data processing, a band-pass filter is applied to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio by removing very low-frequency noise and very high-frequency random noise. The filter is defined by its lower and upper cutoff frequencies.
