Band
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000267
A specific range of frequencies within a spectrum, such as the electromagnetic or seismic spectrum. Seismic data is processed and interpreted within a particular frequency band, where higher frequencies provide greater resolution but are attenuated more quickly with depth. Data acquisition and processing parameters are chosen to preserve the desired band of frequencies containing the signal.
