Spectral density analysis
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003533
A technique that decomposes a signal into its constituent frequencies to identify periodicities and dominant frequencies within the data. This method is applied to seismic data, well logs, or production time series to reveal subsurface features or reservoir dynamics. The output is typically a power spectrum or spectrogram, showing amplitude as a function of frequency.
