Spectrum
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003534
The range of frequencies or wavelengths present in a signal, such as a seismic wave. Analyzing the frequency spectrum of seismic data provides insights into the characteristics of the subsurface, including rock properties and fluid content. A typical seismic spectrum for exploration data might range from a few hertz to several hundred hertz.
