Spectral

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003532

Relating to the distribution of energy or intensity across a range of frequencies or wavelengths. In seismic data analysis, spectral decomposition breaks down a seismic signal into its constituent frequencies to reveal geological features that might not be apparent in the raw data. This technique can highlight thin beds or fluid contacts by analyzing frequency anomalies.
