Multiple-isotope log
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002489
A radioactive tracer survey in which two or more isotopes with different gamma-ray energies are injected together, often in separate fluid or proppant stages, and a spectral gamma-ray tool records each one separately. The method shows which zones took each fluid or solid in an injection well or fracture treatment. It is also called a multitracer or spectral tracer survey.
