Band reject
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000269
A type of filter that attenuates frequencies within a specified range while allowing frequencies outside that range to pass through. In seismic data processing, a band-reject filter, also known as a notch filter, is used to remove specific narrow-band noise, such as 50 Hz or 60 Hz power line interference. It is characterized by its center frequency and bandwidth.
