Delta t
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000991
The time interval between successive samples in a digitized seismic trace, representing the sampling rate of the acquired data. A smaller delta t indicates a higher sampling frequency, capturing more detailed information about the seismic wave. Typical values range from 0.5 to 4 milliseconds, influencing the maximum frequency that can be resolved.
