Sample rate
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003237
The frequency at which a continuous analog signal is converted into a discrete digital signal during seismic data acquisition. It determines how many data points are recorded per unit of time, directly affecting the resolution of the digitized waveform. A typical sample rate for seismic data ranges from 0.5 to 4 milliseconds.
