R signal
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003026
The component of the received voltage of an induction tool that is in phase with the transmitter current, which is proportional to the formation conductivity and is the signal converted to resistivity. The out-of-phase component is the X signal, which carries skin-effect and magnetic-susceptibility information and is used to correct the R signal. Induction tools operate at tens of kilohertz.
