Medium induction
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004380
A measurement of formation conductivity or resistivity using an induction logging tool with a specific depth of investigation. This measurement provides information about the fluid content and porosity of the rock formation, particularly in freshwater-based drilling muds where galvanic tools are ineffective. The medium induction measurement typically investigates a radial distance of several feet into the formation, between the shallow and deep induction readings.
