Phase-shift resistivity
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002774
A resistivity measurement derived from the phase shift of an electromagnetic wave propagating through the formation. This technique is employed by high-frequency induction logging tools, where the phase difference between transmitted and received signals is converted into a resistivity value. It is less affected by borehole conductivity than attenuation resistivity at higher frequencies.
