Sampling interval
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003239
The discrete distance or time increment at which measurements are recorded by a logging tool as it moves through the wellbore. This interval determines the resolution of the acquired data, with smaller intervals providing more detailed information. For wireline logs, sampling intervals are commonly measured in feet or meters, such as 0.5 feet or 0.15 meters.
