Interval transit time

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002022

The time it takes for a seismic wave to travel a unit distance through a specific geological formation, typically measured in microseconds per foot or microseconds per meter. This parameter is derived from sonic logs and is the reciprocal of interval velocity. It provides information about the porosity and lithology of the rock.
