BHT
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000329
The bottom hole temperature, which is the temperature measured at the deepest point reached in a wellbore. This temperature is influenced by the geothermal gradient of the Earth and the heat generated during drilling operations. BHT measurements are used to correct temperature-sensitive logging tool responses and to estimate reservoir temperatures for fluid property calculations.
