Gathering system

A network of pipelines, compressors, and processing equipment that collects raw hydrocarbons from multiple wells and transports them to a central processing facility or main transmission line. This system includes flowlines, gathering lines, and sometimes field separators. It is the initial infrastructure for moving produced fluids from the wellhead.
