Trunk line

A large-diameter pipeline that transports crude oil, natural gas, or refined products over long distances from production areas to processing facilities, storage terminals, or distribution networks. These lines form the main arteries of a pipeline system, often connecting to smaller feeder lines. Trunk lines can span hundreds or thousands of miles.
