Satellite platform

An offshore production platform that does not have full processing facilities, instead sending its produced fluids to a larger, central processing platform for separation and treatment. These platforms are installed over smaller or more remote reservoirs and are connected to the main facility via pipelines. They reduce capital expenditure by sharing processing infrastructure with other fields.
