Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001868
The protective outer casing of a downhole logging tool, designed to shield the internal electronics and sensors from the harsh borehole environment. This pressure-resistant and corrosion-resistant cylinder is constructed from high-strength metals like steel or titanium to withstand extreme pressures, temperatures, and abrasive fluids. The housing also provides the mechanical structure for connecting multiple tools into a single logging string.
