Hydraulic head
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001893
The total mechanical energy per unit weight of fluid at a given point, representing the sum of elevation head, pressure head, and velocity head. It is a measure of the potential energy available to drive fluid flow in a porous medium. Hydraulic head is typically expressed in units of length, such as meters or feet.
