Inflow control device
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004360
A passive downhole component installed in a well completion to restrict and balance the flow of fluids from different reservoir sections into the production tubing. It uses flow resistance to mitigate unwanted fluid production, such as water or gas, from high-permeability zones. These devices are designed to provide a more uniform inflow profile along the horizontal section of a well.
