ISO
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002043
An independent non-governmental organization based in Geneva that publishes international consensus standards, known as the International Organization for Standardization. In drilling fluids, ISO 10414 covers field testing of water-based and oil-based muds and corresponds to API Recommended Practices 13B-1 and 13B-2, while ISO 13500 specifies materials such as barite, bentonite and hematite and corresponds to API Specification 13A. ISO 13500 is therefore a materials specification, not a test method.
