Multi-agent system (mas)

A computational system composed of multiple autonomous, interacting entities called agents, each capable of independent action and decision-making. These agents collaborate or compete to achieve common or individual goals within a shared environment. MAS can be applied in oil and gas for complex tasks such as intelligent well control, pipeline monitoring, or distributed reservoir management.
