Pressure transient test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002924
A diagnostic procedure involving the controlled change of a well's production rate and the subsequent measurement of pressure response in the wellbore or observation wells. These tests, including drawdown, buildup, and interference tests, are used to determine reservoir characteristics such as permeability, skin factor, and reservoir boundaries. Data interpretation often involves specialized software and analytical models.
