Early time transient data
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001234
The pressure response recorded immediately after a change in flow rate, such as the beginning of a flow period or a shut-in. This initial portion of a pressure transient test is dominated by wellbore storage effects and conditions in the near-wellbore region. Analysis of this data provides information about wellbore condition, such as the skin factor, and can indicate the presence of hydraulic fractures.
