Transient-pressure testing

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003896

A method of well testing that involves inducing a change in the flow rate of a well and then monitoring the resulting pressure changes over time. This technique provides data used to evaluate reservoir properties such as permeability, skin factor, and reservoir boundaries. Common types include drawdown tests, build-up tests, and interference tests.
