Pumping well tests
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004426
A set of pressure transient analysis procedures conducted on wells that require artificial lift, such as sucker rod or electrical submersible pumps, to produce fluids. Data is collected by measuring the fluid level in the annulus or by using downhole pressure gauges, accounting for the pump's influence on bottomhole pressure. Analysis of these tests provides information on reservoir parameters and pump performance, including the inflow performance relationship (IPR) and pump efficiency.
