Profile testing
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004423
The process of evaluating the flow characteristics of fluids within a wellbore, often using production logging tools (PLT). This testing identifies which zones are producing or injecting and at what rates, providing insight into reservoir performance and well integrity. It can detect crossflow, water breakthrough, or gas coning, guiding remedial actions.
