Casing potential profile
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000572
A measurement of the electrical potential along the length of a well's casing, used to detect corrosion. This profile identifies anodic and cathodic areas, indicating where metal loss is occurring or is likely to occur. It is often used in conjunction with casing inspection logs to evaluate wellbore integrity.
