Swab valve

The uppermost valve on a Christmas tree, located above the master valve and below the lubricator. It is used to control flow from the well during wireline or coiled tubing operations, particularly when running or retrieving tools. This valve provides a seal against well pressure when the lubricator is removed or installed.
