Wedge gate

A type of gate valve that uses a wedge-shaped disc to block or allow fluid flow. When the valve is closed, the wedge seats tightly against two inclined seats within the valve body, providing a positive shutoff. Wedge gate valves are primarily used for on-off service and are not suitable for throttling applications.
