Bounding box
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000040
A rectangular prism that completely encloses a 3D model, representing its maximum dimensions along the X, Y, and Z axes. This virtual box provides a simple way to determine the overall size and spatial extent of an object within the build volume of a 3D printer. Software uses bounding boxes for initial placement, scaling, and collision detection of parts.
