Machine bounding box

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000209

A virtual rectangular prism that defines the maximum printable volume or build envelope of a 3D printer. Any object designed for printing must fit within these dimensions to be successfully fabricated by the machine. The bounding box is typically defined by the maximum travel limits of the print head and build platform along the X, Y, and Z axes.
