Infill density
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000183
A setting in fused filament fabrication (FFF) and other 3D printing processes that determines the amount of material used inside the solid outer walls of a part. Expressed as a percentage, it controls the spacing of the internal support structure, or infill pattern. A lower value like 15-25% creates a lightweight part with reduced print time and material consumption, while a 100% setting produces a completely solid object.
