Fill density
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000137
The percentage of the internal volume of a 3D printed part that is filled with material, as opposed to being hollow or containing sparse infill. A higher fill density generally results in a stronger and heavier part but increases print time and material consumption. It is a key parameter in slicer software.
