Overlap

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000261

The specified amount by which a part's infill structure connects with its inner perimeters, or by which different printed features are designed to intersect. This setting controls the bonding strength between the infill and the walls of the object. The overlap value is usually set as a percentage of the nozzle width or as an absolute distance in millimeters, with a typical range of 15% to 30%.
