Raster pattern

Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000322

A method of depositing material in additive manufacturing where a laser or print head moves back and forth across a build platform, creating successive parallel lines. Each pass builds a thin layer of the object, similar to how an inkjet printer creates an image. This technique is commonly used in processes like selective laser sintering and fused deposition modeling.
