X-Y plane
Term · Additive manufacturing and 3D printing · MLC-T-ADM-000418
The horizontal plane defined by the X and Y axes in a three-dimensional coordinate system, representing the build area for each layer in additive manufacturing. Material deposition or curing occurs within this plane for every slice of the object. The accuracy and resolution of printing are often characterized by features within the X-Y plane.
