Adenoma

A benign tumor originating from glandular epithelial tissue or having a glandular structure. These growths are non-cancerous but have the potential to become malignant, in which case they are called adenocarcinomas. Adenomas can develop in many organs, including the colon, adrenal gland, pituitary gland, and thyroid, sometimes causing symptoms by overproducing hormones.
