Aliased effects
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-000386
Two or more effects in a fractional-factorial experimental design that cannot be estimated independently because their estimates are confounded. This occurs when the design matrix causes their columns to be linearly dependent, meaning their influence on the response cannot be distinguished. For example, a main effect might be aliased with a two-factor interaction.
